A QUILT EXTRAVAGANZA!

Last night was King Of Glory’s Blessing of the Quilts service. Thank you to all involved in the quilts that have been made by members of KOG and their friends. Our quilting worker-bees have made over 130 quilts that will go to Canadian Lutheran World Relief for various aid programs around the world, some lap quilts and 10 comfort quilts. Prodigious thimbles full of thanks to the industrious sewers Sherry Andrews, Ursula Coakwell, Bev Gregory, Karen McKenzie, Marge McMillan, Doreen Matschke, Sharon Morgan, and Carol Sarich. Special thanks to Carl Rausch for the pics (he has the originals plus others if anyone wants them.)

On Sunday, June 2nd, there will be a Blessing of the Quilts service at 6:30pm, our regular worship time. These quilts are designated for World Lutheran Relief’s various aid programs around the world and some Comfort Quilts for the LightHouse in Saskatoon. Our quilters meet every Thursday from 10am to 3pm at the home of Bev Gregory.
