Last night we held our Blessing of the Quilts Service. Our quilting worker-bees have made a total of over 80 quilts – 33 will go to Lutheran World Relief; 8 will go to the LightHouse; and 40 wheelchair quilts will go to the Parkridge Centre. Prodigious thimbles full of thanks to the industrious sewers, Bev Gregory, Karen McKenzie, Doreen Matschke, Ursula Coakwell, Sharon Morgan, Marge McMillan, Sherry Andrews, and Carol Sarich.
It is our privilege to recognize and support to those who offer themselves – their time, skills, materials, and monies – for making quilts for those in need.
Please join us for a Blessing of the Quilts Service this Sunday, November 24th. Our quilters have designated these blankets for the Parkridge Centre and the Light House in Saskatoon.
Last Sunday evening at KOG, the Saintly Sinners – Jody Giesbrecht on steel guitar, Nicola Tabb on bass, Lauren Tasted on fiddle, and Mykal Gambol on guitar – led our Country Gospel Service. Thanks to Jody for organizing the group and the service. It was a wonderful experience for congregation and guests.
Thanks also to Doreen Matschke and Carol Sarich for hosting the Coffee Social after the service.
On Sunday, November 17th, there will be a Country Gospel Service at 6:30pm followed by a Coffee Social. All are welcome!Photo by Brett Sayles on Pexels.com
